Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
These are what the students should be able to do at the time of graduation. The PSOs are program specific. PSOs are written by the department offering the program. These are decided by the head of the institution with the help of HoDs and department experts.

Able to apply the core-knowledge
of human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, biochemistry,
pharmacokinetics, toxicology, pharmaceutical jurisprudence, pharmaceutics and
communication skills to understand the
suitability of patient’s prescription--with respect to clinical condition of
the patient, prescribed dose size and frequency of administration, associated
drug interactions or allergic reactions; dispense the medication to patient
as per the law; advise the patient about the medication usage, storage, safe
disposal, any possible allergic reaction of the medication; answer associated healthcare questions of
the patient or direct the patient to appropriate information resources. |

Aware of management of a ‘Pharmacy’ with
respect to medication storage, inventory control, record maintenance as per
legal requirements; usage of drug information services; usage of computer
systems for the above purposes. |
PSO 3 |
Aware of Ethics and Oath of Pharmacist, advocate of legal policies and
statutory framework for environment friendly usage of medicine (disposal of
unutilized or expired medicines), including social responsibility of
pharmacist in spreading awareness for general hygiene, sanitization, safe use
of medicine, abuse of medications (antibiotic resistance, self-medications),
social healthcare programs run by Government. |

Aware of basic principles of
Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy for
drug discovery and formulation development. Ability to develop formulations
parameters in manufacturing of a dosage form, storage, and packaging |

Interpret basics principles for
drug analysis through conventional methods and modern sophisticated
instruments. Ability to chemically synthesize the drugs and its designing by
using sophisticated software |

Understanding of herbal drugs and
its identification, extraction and purification for its medicinal value.
Ability to develop herbal formulations, and its evaluation. |

Understanding of pharmacological

by providing patient centric effective treatments to curb the therapeutic
